Hilton London Wembley

Hilton Wembley review – perfect place to stay for families visiting Wembely

When Hull City made it to their first FA Cup final, we decided to do our Wembley weekend in style – and that meant checking into the plush Hilton property just yards from the stadium.
The stunning glass building is perfectly situated just a short stroll from Wembley Park Tube station and a stone’s throw from the turnstiles.

In fact, it is so well placed, the Arsenal squad also made it their base for the weekend.

img_0265With luxurious rooms, a pool, a gym and a Sky Bar with fabulous stadium and city views, it was not hard to see why.

My husband, our four-year-old son and I shared a suite with my brother, arriving the night before the match for a lovely meal in the hotel’s Association Restaurant.

Our room also gave us access to the hotel’s exclusive executive lounge, where we enjoyed complimentary after-dinner drinks and canapés. This was a real perk of our stay and well worth spending the extra on a more expensive room.

In the morning, we enjoyed a tasty cooked breakfast before enjoying the atmosphere with Hull and Arsenal fans alike.

img_0420Being so close to the stadium meant we could relax and make the most of the day and although the result didn’t go our way, it was still a wonderful experience.

After the drama of extra time, we were pleased to have a short trip back to the hotel where we put our exhausted little boy to bed and ordered room service away from the crowds.

We agreed that there was no better way to see Wembley than a stay here and, with a concert arena and other attractions such as the London Designer Outlet also nearby, the final won’t be our last stay at the Hilton.
